Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Taman Daya also known with the abbreviation TDS (Taman Daya School) is a secondary school located in Jalan Rumbia 39, Taman Daya Johor, Malaysia.
SMK Taman Daya is in the middle of residential areas Taman Daya. The area of this school ialah12.054 acres. Distance between these schools with the City of Johor Bahru is about 19 km.
The school was first opened on December 4, 1995. At the beginning of its opening, the only school to accommodate students who previously studied in Sec. Men. Keb Taman Johor Jaya (1) and (2), Sec. Men. Keb. Dato 'Jaafar, Sek Men. Keb. New Majidee and Sec. Men. Keb. Sri Tebrau who live around the Taman Daya, Kangkar Tebrau and Pandan. The number of teaching staff at that time only 18 people. Distribution of pupils starting with the three transition classes, 8 classes form 1 class and 7 form 2 class.
The school has two blocks of four floors of Block A and Block B, two blocks of two-storey for science laboratories and Block D to Life Skills workshops, servicing Domestic Electrical Equipment and Clothing Design and Sewing. The school is also equipped with prayer hall, pavilion, cafeteria, parking, bicycle parking and routes feeding the elephants. Among other facilities such as huts reading rooms, smart, science parks, pedestrian walkways, and so forth. This new school is equipped with computer labs that are building blocks with two levels of prayer and pavilions. During the 13 years the school operated until the bitter and sweet 2008. Many history experienced by the citizens SMKTD.School was led by six principals who are dedicated and doing the school is successful in many aspect.Initially, this school is a school and normal daily upgraded to smart schools.
In 2008, the school has once again got a confidence and trust of the ministry to operate Class of Special Plans (CRS). CRS held for students who excel in the UPSR will get an offer to study this form 1 CRS.So far there were about 87 people students involved with the CRS in SMKTD.
